Missions
Serving our neighbors near and far through
compassion, outreach, and the love of Christ in action.
Faith Beyond Our Walls
At Highland Presbyterian Church, missions are the heart of who we are. We partner with ministries and organizations that serve physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout our community and beyond.

City Rescue Mission
The City Rescue Mission was founded in 1911 and has a rich evangelical history. Today, the Mission exists to meet the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual needs of hurting people in western Pennsylvania.
As a Christian ministry, we stand uniquely apart from other social service agencies. Our services are provided based on need, rather than the ability to pay. All services are gifted to our neighbors in need that seek help for their physical and spiritual needs.
Sal & Terrilyn Pacella
Joshua (Sal) and Terrilyn Pacella serve with World Impact in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where they live with their three children.

Together, they help oversee Fundacion Esperanza, a ministry that operates four orphanages providing care and shelter for forty abandoned children. Josh serves in administration while Terrilyn
is actively involved in supporting the children and staff across all
four homes.

Pine Valley Camp
Pine Valley Bible Camp, nestled at 504 Chapel Drive in Ellwood City, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, is a cherished family-run sanctuary dedicated to offering a safe refuge for abused and underprivileged children.

The camp’s primary mission is to introduce campers to Jesus Christ in ways that resonate with their personal needs. They strive to make the Christian life dynamic and appealing, and aim to assist the Lord in mending broken lives.
Michael & Rachel Ludwig
Since 2014, Michael and Rachel Ludwig have served in Niger alongside the Evangelical Church in the Republic of Niger (EERN), supporting local pastors and church leaders through Community Health Evangelism (CHE).
Michael equips communities through training in literacy, health, education, and leadership, helping churches bring practical and spiritual transformation to areas of great need. Together, Michael and Rachel share Christ’s love through ministry, relationship-building, and service in a country where Christians make up less than one percent of the population.
